In-Home Assisted Living Inc. (Homecare) of Mississauga is looking for compassionate, caring, and reliable individuals to join our family. As a Caregiver/Personal Support Worker (PSW's) you will support our client recovering from medical conditions after being hospitalized. The work setting is within a private residence, and Italian speaking is required.

As a IHAL employee, you will make a difference in the lives of our clients and their families through compassionate client-focused care.

How you will spend your days:
Assistance with personal care, hygiene, and grooming (ADL’s)
Light Housekeeping (IADL’s vacuuming, laundry, dishes etc.)
Basic Meal Preparation
Medication Reminders
Assisting clients with mobility, ambulation, and transfers
Providing companionship and emotional support
Responding to emergency situations
Complete daily shift reports to communicate with Case Managers

Success in this role:
Personal Support Worker Certificate
2 years experience within a private home care setting 
Experience with stroke recovery is an asset
Experience with transfers from wheelchair to commode, bed, chair, shower
Current CPR/First Aid Certification Preferred
Documentation skills
Ability to follow client care plan
Strong communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent customer service skills

Compensation:
$20.00 per hour

Shifts:
Shifts will vary in hours-can be 4 hours or longer depending on the clients needs

In-Home Assisted Living Inc. will supply all necessary PPE (Mask, gloves, sanitizer - COVID Test Kits)
